The Lord Is Good

The Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. — Psalm 100:5

Here is the bridge we crossed on Saturday at Piedras Pintadas, meaning "painted rocks." It was named for the Kumeyaay boulder paintings in the area.

On the water below we saw ducks, egrets and grebes, many of them nesting, others swimming and talking to each other. We also saw a hawk and a quite few nests with eggs.

And of course we saw beautiful flowers along the way as well as some poison oak.

The Lord is good, and His love endures forever.

His faithfulness continues through all generations!

Our Beautiful Earth

How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. — Psalm 104:24

Piedras Pintadas Hike
On Saturday we went for a hike in Piedras Pintadas, around Lake Hodges.

We saw a boat on the lake, ducks and grebes, egrets, birds sitting on their nests of  eggs, mountains, lakes, and a waterfall.

Then we walked over the suspension bridge and listened to all of the birds chirping.

The cloud cover kept us cool. A perfect day for a hike.

Thanks to Kellie for organizing the hike and to everyone who came out to join us.
