Who Can Hide From the Lord

Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” declares the Lord. “Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the Lord. — Jeremiah 23:24

God is all-knowing and all seeing.

No one can hide from Him.

Even the secret places are not secrets to Him.

He fills the heavens.

And His glory fills the whole earth.

God has declared it.

Our nation belongs to God the Lord.

Plans to Give You Hope

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. — Jeremiah 29:11

God knows the plans He has for me.

He knew them before I was born.

He numbered the hairs on my head.

And He assures me He has plans to prosper me.

Plans that do not harm me.

Plans to give me hope.

And to prepare my future for me.

I am blessed. 

Apart From God There Is No Savior

I, even I, am the Lord, and apart from me there is no savior. I have revealed and saved and proclaimed— I, and not some foreign god among you. You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “that I am God. — Isaiah 43:11-12 

God is our Lord, our sovereign Father.

His Son Jesus, is our Savior.

Apart from Him there is no Savior.

He has revealed Himself to us in creation and in His Word.

We are His witnesses, that He is God.

Each time we sing His praises, we're proclaiming that He is the Lord.

Plans to Prosper You

God knows the plans He has for me.

He plans to prosper me and not to harm me.

The Lord plans to give me hope and a future.

He has blessed me beyond measure.

Kirk has a green thumb with my friend's orchid.

It looked like it was on its way out just a few months ago.

Now it's blooming.

A beautiful example of God's creation and care for us.

And I am thankful.

God's Ways

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. — Isaiah 55:8

God's thoughts are not mine.

My thoughts are not His.

My ways are not His ways.

Thank goodness!

The Lord has declared that His ways are the way to go.

Here's the alligator we saw at the zoo last month.

At first we thought it was a statue.

Then it opened its mouth!

My Thoughts Are Not Your Thoughts

God's thoughts are not mine.

His ways are not mine.

Thank goodness.

He is the Lord of heaven and earth.

He is our God and we praise Him.

 

Plans to Give You Hope

God knows the plans He has for me.

He has declared that He has planned things out for me.

The Lord has plans to prosper me.

His plans are not to harm me, but to give me hope.

God's plans are to provide me with a future.

I don't always live according to His plans.

But when i do, He has already worked it all out for me in advance.

Return to God

 Therefore tell the people: This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Return to me,’ declares the Lord Almighty, ‘and I will return to you,’ says the Lord Almighty. — Zechariah 1:3

God commands us to return to Him.

When we do, He returns to us.

Last night we spent some time with friends and family on Zoom.

It was fun to connect with Rudy, Ernie, Marion, Brad, Peggy, Kyle and Mariana.

We have been enjoying sitting outside on our patio.

And walking around the neighborhood.

God has blessed us.

God Will Help Us

"I myself will help you,” declares the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. — Isaiah 41:14

God will help us.

He declares that He himself will help me.

The Lord is my Redeemer.


He is the Holy One of Israel.



Today I did a video conference with my oncologist to find out if the lump on my arm is lymphedema.

She is not sure, but thinks it definitely might be.

So it it's not gone in a couple of weeks, she will have me come in to her office.

At that point, she can refer me to a lymphedema therapist to help massage the area.

I am blessed to have such great care during this time.

God is my helper.

God's Thoughts

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. — Isaiah 55:8-9

God's ways are not mine.

Not even close.

The heavens are higher than the earth, and God's ways are higher than mine.

His thoughts, too.

He sends friends and family around us to love and strengthen us.

This is the orchid garden our friend Edna brought us months ago.

The orchid flower finally gave up the ghost, but the plants are still blooming and healthy.

We are thankful.

God's Ways Are Higher Than Mine

God's thoughts are not mine.

Not even close.

His ways are not mine.

In fact, they are much higher than mine.

Just as the heavens are higher than the earth.

So God's thoughts are much higher than my thoughts.

I can't even fathom how He loves me in spite of myself.

What a mighty God we serve!
