Be Kind and Compassionate

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. — Ephesians 4:32

My sweet and kind husband had these gorgeous orchids waiting for me when I got home yesterday.

What a special way to start Mother's Day weekend.

He is an example of God's grace.

Showing kindness and compassion to me and to others.

Forgiving just as God forgives us in Christ.

Exemplifying the love of Jesus to his friends and family.

You, Lord, Are Abounding in Love

You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you. — Psalm 85:6

Today is the final day of January.

A new month is ahead.

It seems like we just entered 2024 and now one month is over.

How comforting to know that God is forgiving.

When I mess up, He forgives me when I come to Him in repentance.

The Lord is good.

He abounds in love.

And He's not selective.

His love is for all who call to Him.

Thank You, Lord.

Be Compassionate

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. — Ephesians 4:32

God asks us to forgive each other.

And to be kind to others, even when they're not kind to us.

To be compassionate to one another.

Just as God forgave us and was compassionate to us in showing us His mercy.

All this through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus.

Today was my coworker's last day with us so we all wore black in mourning.

Then we gathered outside for a final photo together.

She 's the one in the maroon skirt in the middle.

We'll miss her.

She was an example of being kind and compassionate to others.

Abounding in Love

You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you. — Psalm 86:5

God is forgiving.

He is good to all.

And the Lord is abounding in love.

He loves all who call to Him.

What a wonderful reminder.

I've been doing Wordle for the past few weeks.

Today the word was cross.

What a perfect reminder as we head into Lent of the sacrifice Jesus made for us.

All because of a loving God who cares for us.

Happy February!

Walk Humbly

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. — Micah 6:8

Yesterday I walked a couple of miles, very slowly, as my surgeon instructed.

The sun was out and the flowers were blooming along the way. The day before I went a bit farther but with several stops along the way.

It's hard having to slow down and walk. It's especially hard not being able to exercise or jump rope or hike for a few days, let alone a few weeks!

But at times God asks us to slow down and not hurry through life. It's hard to slow down. And it's hard to be humble. My pride keeps getting in the way.

Fortunately, God is forgiving. He loves me even when I mess up. I am grateful.
