Enter Through the Narrow Gate

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. — Matthew 7:13-14

God calls us to enter through the narrow gate.

The road that leads to destruction is wide.

And many go through it.

But the gate is small that leads to life.

And the road is narrow.

That's why only a few people find it.

And even then, many are reluctant to go through it.

But God will guide us each step of the way.

The Gate for the Sheep

Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. — John 10:7, 9-10

Do you think Jesus had to say this again because His followers weren't listening?

That happens to me at times.

I have to read a Scripture passage several times because I get distracted and lose focus.

But Jesus has patience with us and repeats the Word again, helping us understand.

Explaining the parables to His disciples who didn't get them.

And to me, when I'm not getting them either.

When we wander off, He brings us back into the fold.

And He opens the gate for us, His sheep, to enter eternal life.

Enter Through the Narrow Gate

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. — Matthew 7:13-14

God instructs us to enter through the narrow gate.

It leads to life eternal.

But not everyone finds it.

The road to destruction is broad.

And the gate to sin is wide.

But the gate to eternal life is narrow.

And we are blessed to have found it.

Jesus, the Gate

Therefore Jesus said again, “I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture." — John 10:9

Jesus is the gate to our lives.

He is our Savior and friend.

Whoever enters through Jesus will be saved.

He is our Shepherd.

We are the sheep of His pasture.

The flock in His care.
