Do Not Store Up Treasures on Earth

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. — Matthew 6:19

Today we took down our Christmas tree and decorations.

We set up our puzzle card table to start a puzzle depicting Mount Vernon.

Then we celebrated with dinner out.

Here was the beautiful view.

This morning I went swimming - a gorgeous day to be outside.

Tonight I had some friends over for dinner to say goodbye to a friend who is moving to Texas.

She sold her home here in San Diego in just two days.

This week she'll pack up and move to Tyler, Texas.

If she decides to stay, the cost of living will be quite a bit less than it is here.

But we will miss her on our Saturday morning hikes.

She will be back in a few months to visit.
