The Lord Is Patient With You

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. — 2 Peter 3:9

The Lord always keeps His promises.

His timing is not mine.

Rather, he is patient with me.

Taking His time so everyone can come to repentance.

Having mercy on all of us.

And we are thankful.

Call on the Name of the Lord

Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. — Joel 2:32

God saves us and has sacrificed His Son for us.

He did that even before we turned to Him.

Even before we recognized Him as our Savior.

While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Everyone who calls on the name on the Lord will be saved.

What a wonderful promise.

The Earth Is the Lord's

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. — Psalm 24:1

God created everything, down to the smallest detail.

Our world is an amazingly integrated place, where each creature is dependent on the others for life.

And it is also a really beautiful place with a huge variety of colors and textures.

We are blessed to be a part of it all.

And today marks the first day of summer. The summer solstice is the longest day of the year for all of us living north of the equator.

God's rainbow promise reminds us that even though we, as humans, cannot always keep our promises, God always keeps His.

What a wonderful reminder of God's faithfulness and love for us.

Welcome, summer!
