Rainbow Welcome

I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. — Genesis 9:13

Our wonderful neighbor Stan took a photo of this beautiful rainbow at the end of our street and sent it to us via email the night we arrived home from Spokane.

Here's what he wrote to us, "Welcome home.  The rainbow was @5:30 tonight...your welcome home."

Our flight was scheduled to arrive at 5:30. Instead, it was cancelled and our new flight was delayed two hours so we arrived home closer to 8:00 p.m., exhausted.

God set His rainbow in the sky as a sign of His promise to never flood the world again.

Stan greeted us with a rainbow welcome that brightened our evening. We are grateful.

God Has Done Marvelous Things

Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things. — Psalm 98:1

Another perfect sentiment for the week.

The rain is coming down tonight, pattering on the rooftop, and tomorrow will most likely bring another rainbow.

I am blessed and overwhelmed with all of the prayers and support.

Thanks to all of my loving friends and family members who have been covering me in prayer.

Even when we can't feel God's hand, He is there to guide and direct us through life's storms.

Praise the Lord. He has done marvelous things!

God's Promises

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. — I Peter 5:7

 After a beautiful walk around the bay today, we came home to a brief rain shower and this awesome rainbow surrounding our neighborhood and reminding us of God's promises:

But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ declares the Lord — Jeremiah 30:17

How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! — Psalm 36:7

I will never leave you nor forsake you. — Joshua 1:5

Living Under the Rainbow

"We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing."

Remember, you live under the rainbow!

Receiving a diagnosis of cancer can be a shock to the system. 

But the encouragement of family and friends can go a long way toward shoring up a wall of support around us. Giving us the strength to make it through the rough days.

We had rain last week, and a friend took this photo the next day. 

He sent it in an email with the caption, "You live under the rainbow!" What a wonderful way to start the day.
