The Faithful and True Witness

To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation. — Revelation 3:14, 20 

John was commanded to write to the seven churches.

These are the words of the one true God.

The Amen and the faithful.

The true witness.

The ruler of God's creation.

Our Lord and Father.

Our Ruler and Shepherd

But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel. — Matthew 2:6

It's Friday the 13th, but what a beautiful way to begin the day and end the week.

And, of course, it's winter!

But we're a bit behind.

The people of Bethlehem had no idea that Jesus, our ruler and shepherd would come out of that town.

As we move toward Christmas, we also celebrate God's creation.
