Happy Mother's Day!

Yesterday we celebrated our friend's birthday. trying a new restaurant together. Kirk did his research and we were excited to try this new place. 

They bring a baked Alaska to the birthday person. Yum!

My dad used to make baked Alaska desserts. 

One time he was baking them for a large group of 30 or so and put them into small clay flower pots to create the feeling of spring in the middle of winter. How creative!

He and my mom would also make delicious chocolate souffles. I can only aspire to be such a good cook!
