We Proclain Him

He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. — Colossians 1:28

Jesus is the onee we proclaim.

Admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom.

So that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ Jesus.

Our Lord and Savior.

Who took the penalty we deserved for our sin.

So that we may present everyone fully mature.

The Hope of Glory

To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. — Colossians 1:26-27

Christ is in us, the hope of glory.

God has chosen to make known His glorious riches among the the world.

Jesus is the one we proclaim.

So we may present everyone fully mature in Christ,

That everyone may come to know Him fully.

We Proclaim Him

He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. — Colossians 1:28

First Presbyterian Children's Choir 1986

My choir friends sent me this photo from 1986 last week.

Their oldest son is on the right.

And that's me conducting the children's choir at our church.

This was just two years after Kirk and I were married.

And I think the accompanist was my friend Susan.

Hard to believe those children are now grown up with kids of their own!

God is the one we proclaim.

We teach everyone with all wisdom.

So we can present everyone fully mature in Christ.

Singing with Thankfulness

Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. — Colossians 3:16

Yesterday we made modge podge flower pots.

Our Bible study theme was "bloom where you are planted."

And Josie took this picture of the finished pots.

They really turned out beautiful.

And each one is unique.

Just as God's creation shows His beauty and glory.

We praise Him with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs.

Singing with thankfulness in our hearts to God.

Jesus Is the One We Proclaim

He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. — Colossians 1:28

Today is the anniversary of 9/11.

Kirk and I were getting ready for work when Rita called to tell us to turn on the TV.

She wanted us to know that Kirk's brother Kyle was fine.

He was at the Pentagon that morning, trying to find out what happened at the World Trade Center, when the plane hit the other side of the building.

Some of his colleagues died that day.

What a tragedy for our country.

Even so, we proclaim Christ, the author and finisher of our faith.
