God Sent His Son, Born of a Woman

But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. — Galatians 4:4-5

God sent His Son, Jesus to be born as a Baby.

The timing was according to His plan — when the time had fully come.

Jesus was born of the virgin Mary.

He suffered under Pontius Pilate.

And was crucified, dead and buried to redeem us from our sin.

The third day He rose again from the grave.

Redeeming those of us under the law.

That we might be adopted as sons and daughters of the Lord God.

God Sent His Son

But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. — Galatians 4:4-5

At just the right time, God sent Jesus into the world.

And we celebrate the coming of our Savior.

Born of a woman, born of the Holy Spirit.

To purchase our salvation.

He adopted us into His family.

So when we believe in Him, He can draw us into His grace.

And forgive us from all the ways we continue to miss the mark.

Hallelujah!

When God's time had fully come, God sent His Son, Jesus.

He was born of Mary.

And born under the la

Born to redeem those under the law.

Jesus was born that we might receive adoption into His family.

He is the light in our darkness.

Sent by God to redeem us from our sins.

Wrestling in Prayer

A servant of Christ Jesus sends greetings. He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured. — Colossians 4:12

What a picture that image paints:

Someone wrestling in prayer for us.

What a comfort and source of strength to know that someone is praying for me to stand firm.

And not only praying, but wrestling with that prayer.

To help me stay in the will of God.

To help me become mature and complete in the Lord.

I would like to be a prayer warrior like this, too.

To help someone else stand firm in the will of God through my prayers for them.

Jesus Is the One We Proclaim

He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. — Colossians 1:28

Today is the anniversary of 9/11.

Kirk and I were getting ready for work when Rita called to tell us to turn on the TV.

She wanted us to know that Kirk's brother Kyle was fine.

He was at the Pentagon that morning, trying to find out what happened at the World Trade Center, when the plane hit the other side of the building.

Some of his colleagues died that day.

What a tragedy for our country.

Even so, we proclaim Christ, the author and finisher of our faith.
