Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. — James 5:13
Today was my 14th radiation treatment.
I met with my doctor. Then the nurses set up my radiation for the boost that will start on Friday.
Instead of covering the whole breast with radiation, they will focus just on the area where the surgery happened.
The boost will start this Friday and finish a week from Thursday.
That will be my final treatment.
I am happy and will sing songs of praise to the Lord.
Turning to God's Word for encouragement and support during the diagnosis and treatment for cancer.

God Knows Me
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart. — Jeremiah 1:5
Wednesday I had my second MUGA scan to check my heart after chemo treatments.
They had some problems getting my blood due to the scar tissue in my arm, but all went well.
The first scan appeared to be very similar to the one I had done in March.
So I will meet with the radiation doctor at UCSD next week.
One of my acquaintances at church suggested I also look into proton beam therapy so it is not as likely to affect my heart.
So I have my list of questions ready for her (the doctor).
God knew me before he even formed me in the womb.
He set me apart before I was born. He is worthy of all of my praise.

God Is Awesome
We are filled with the good things of your house, of your holy temple. You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds, God our Savior. —Psalm 65:4-5
Today I met with my oncologist, a wonderful doctor, Jenny Dewitt, who was very encouraging and even gave me a hug.
She explained that the best course of treatment for my cancer will be chemo followed by radiation.
They would like to start chemo in the next few weeks and continue for 4 1/2 months, with one chemo treatment every 3 weeks.
After that they will do radiation for a few weeks. In a couple of weeks I will attend a class to explain all of the things I can expect with chemo treatments.
I will plan our trip to Spokane for Abby's graduation in May and then call to schedule my chemo accordingly.
We are filled with the good things of God's house.
