The Lord Is Good

The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him. — Lamentations 3:25

God is good to us.

To those whose hope is in Him.

To the ones who seek Him.

Today is the last day of February.

The year is going by very fast!

Saturday Abby and I headed over to the Y to swim.

The weather was gorgeous and the pool was warm.

We were able to get a lane to share without waiting at all.

It felt so refreshing.

The Lord is good!

Worship the Father in Truth

A time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. — John 4:23

On Sunday, we had a fun bluegrass music service of worship at our church.

Afterward, we had a mini-concert in our courtyard with banjo, guitar, mandolin, cajon, and harmonium.

The children were dancing around the courtyard — and so were some of the adults!

This is just a photo, not a link.

But the livestream version of the service is available at https://www.fpcsd.org

The true worshipers will worship God the Father in Spirit.

We worship Him in truth.

This is the kind of worship God requires of us.

The Lord Is Good

The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. — Lamentations 3:25-26

God is good to those of us who hope in Him.

To those of us who search for Him,

Who do His will and look for His guidance.

He directs our paths.

God helps me wait for Him.

The Lord helps me to be quiet, even in the midst of our busy lives.

He asks me to wait quietly for His salvation.

Salvation through His Son, our Lord Jesus.

Here is the September moon, shining over our neighborhood.

Today is the first day of the new month!

Love Is Kind

Love suffers long and is kind; love envies not; love flaunts not itself and is not puffed up, does not behave itself improperly, seeks not its own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil. — I Corinthians 14:4-5

Kirk and Brad are enjoying their time skiing at Mammoth Mt.

It is cold and windy, but they are hoping for a fun time on the slopes.

Kirk's love for our family is kind and loving.

He is not puffed up, but considerate and caring.

Our God is even more so.

My love for them should be the same.

Help me, Lord, to be kind, not puffed up. To think no evil and to not let myself be easily provoked.
