The Lord Made the Heavens and Earth

Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. — Jeremiah 32:17

God is Sovereign.

He is our Lord.

He created the heavens and the earth.

Nothing is too hard for Him.

He formed the heavens and earth by His great power and outstretched arm.

And He formed us, too.

He loves us even when we mess up.

Just as a Father loves His children.

The God of All Mankind

I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me? — Jeremiah 32:27

God is the Lord of all.

He is the God of all mankind.

Of all people.

He created the earth and everything in it.

Is anything too hard for Him?

No, nothing.

He is omniscient and omnipotent.

Here are some creatively decorated trees on the way to the park up the street from our house.

Very clever!

You Have Made the Heavens

Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. — Jeremiah 32:17

God has made the heavens and the earth.

By His great power and outstretched arm, He has created everything.

Nothing is too hard for the Lord.

He is Sovereign, omnipotent, and omniscient.

The Lord Is With Me

When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord; he brought me into a spacious place. The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? — Psalm 118:5-6

When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord.

When I was diagnosed with cancer, I cried to Him.

Especially when I discovered I would have to go through chemo and lose my hair.

He brought me into a spacious place.

He restored my hair and my health.

Through it all, He gave me strength.

I felt His presence.

The Lord is with me still!

I will not be afraid.

I will not worry.

He will give me His peace.

Hope in God

To this end we work hard and struggle, because we have set our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, that is, of those who believe. — 1 Timothy 4:10

We work hard and focus on what God wants in our lives.

The living God is our Savior.

He is the Savior or all who believe.

We have set our hope on Him.

I had a CT scan that showed that the small lump on my lung has not changed over the past year.

What a relief.

Prpaise God.

To Him be the honor and glory.

Those Who Work Hard

Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. — 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13a

My friend Mari works hard for the Lord.

She prays for others, tells them about Jesus, and lives to serve Him.

She walks her neighbors dogs.

Here's one she brought on our walk down to the Old Mission Dam.

And she cares for their pets when they are unable to.

I admire and respect her.

She will go in for a scan tomorrow to see if the doctors can find why she is still in so much pain.

I am praying for her healing and for relief from the pain.

Nothing Is Too Hard for God

Is anything too hard for the Lord? — Genesis 18:14

Yesterday my friend Jen came over so we could go for a social distancing walk.

We stayed six feet apart and walked around our neighborhood for an hour.

It was a beautiful day.

The sun was shining and the birds were singing.

The flowers are growing, partly because of the all of the rain we've had.

Here are the flowers in front of our house — a colorful variety of blossoms.

Nothing is too hard for our Lord.

He has healed me of my cancer.

He has healed our pastor's cancer, too.

Is anything too hard for God? No, nothing.
