The Lord Will Be King Over the Whole Earth

The Lord will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one Lord, and his name the only name. — Zechariah 14:9

It's already July 1!

Hard to believe.

Yesterday marked the 12th anniversary of our Pastor Jeff and his wife Greta.

And it was also the day 68 years ago that Kirk's mom and dad were married.

Here they are after the ceremony.

The wedding took place at the Catholic church in Spencer, Iowa.

Then they headed over the United Methodist Church for the reception.

We miss them both!

The Lord is king over the whole earth.

There is only one Lord.

And one Savior — out Lord Jesus.

On the day He returns, there will be proclamations about His majesty.

On that day, His name will be the only name in heaven and on earth and under the earth.

From Everlasting You Are God

Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. — Psalm 90: 2, 4

Before the mountains were born,

Before God brought forth the whole world,

From everlasting to everlasting, He is God.

The Lord makes my feet like the feet of a deer.

He enables me to tread on the heights.

God leads me to streams of water.

My cup overflows!

Earnestly I Seek God

You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water. — Psalm 63:1

God is my God.

I try to look for Him earnestly each day.

Often I completely miss the mark.

Even so, I thirst for Him.

My whole being longs for Him.

In a dry and parched land, it often feels there is no water.

Here we are at the zoo last year for our friend's wedding.

This year she's expecting her first baby.

Our friends Mark and Rachel celebrate their 11-year anniversary yesterday and today.

Another story.

Very exciting.

God is great!

The Gospel Is Bearing Fruit

In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace. — Colossians 1:6

Saturday I went for a 6 mile hike up Cowles Mt. and then over to Pyles Peak.

Here is the group of friends I hiked with,

I'm second from left in the back. My friend Lorraine was taking the photo.

These are my Christian friends who pray for me when I need comfort and peace.

Some of them lead a women's Bible study I attend on Friday.

We celebrated Ann's (front holding the water bottle) birthday with cake pops at the top of Pyles Peak. Yum!

The Gospel is bearing fruit in each of their lives.

What a fun time we had reconnecting as we went up the mountains.
